People in tech have a special responsibility to think about the impact of the systems we design.

Come exercise your empathy.
Don't be grouped by the work you perform.

Life is about more than your startup, your app or what you do at your job.

Join us for an evening in a safe, supportive space.

If you work on the internet, this event is for you.
Meet folks you haven't run into before, and listen to people share true, personal stories. Before attending, please read our code of conduct.

Code of Conduct

  • We want to be inclusive; do not engage in homophobic, racist, transphobic, ableist, sexist, or otherwise exclusionary behavior. Don’t make exclusionary jokes. Don't be a jerk.
  • Don’t harass people. Unconsented physical contact or sexual attention is harrassment. Consent is explicit; dressing or acting in a certain way is not consent.
  • Come and talk to us if someone is bothering you!
  • Please be intentional in your actions and humble in your mistakes.

We would like to thank the following:

  • Taavi Burns, who recorded events 1 and 2. Chris Melito recorded 3-7, and also handled most of our podcast production.
  • Arthur Chayka, who designed the art for "artifact".
  • Laura Sutula, who greets people at the door.
  • Zoe Daniels, who helps speakers craft their stories.
  • Dundas Video, who allowed us to use their space.
  • Everyone who came out and shared their stories.
  • Everyone who came out and said hi, and listened, and enjoyed themselves.
